Brown Butter Brandy Frosting

3 cups confectioners sugar
6 Tablespoons unsalted butter
3 Tablespoons brandy
3 Tablespoons milk
Put the confectioners sugar in a medium bowl. Melt the butter over medium heat and cook until golden brown. Add to the powdered sugar. Mix in the brandy and enough milk to reach the desired consistency.
Frosts 2 8- or 9 -inch round cakes.
