You know the buzz that zaps through you the minute you arrive at a really special event, the giddy euphoria that screams “You’ve arrived, baby!” as soon as you enter the room?
It happens whenever you see that the party is a gathering of like-minded people enjoying great food and drink that each one of them somehow had a hand at producing. It will happen in Camden on September 11 when Maine Fare presents its Gala Opening Reception to benefit MOFGA, Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association.
The party will be a remarkable assemblage of chefs from 15 of Maine’s best restaurants, all the way from York County to the Blue Hill peninsula and from Lewiston to Mr. Desert Island. These culinary standouts are combining their talents to create a tasting menu using ingredients that conform to MOFGA guidelines: local, seasonal and organic. Participating restaurants include Solo Bistro, The Edge, Lily Bistro, Fuel, Nebo Lodge, Chase’s Daily, Francine Bistro, Fore Street and others.
Also serving at the party will be 10 of Maine’s wineries, distilleries, and breweries, including Bartlett’s, Cellardoor, Sweetgrass, Winterport, Shipyard Brewing, and the Maine Mead Works.
Combine all that with a spectacular location on Camden Harbor, and you’ve got the makings of some serious euphoria. This is one party you do not want to miss, so grab your tickets now before it’s sold out (because it will be).
