We were surprised to find out via email from our viewers, that sometime on May 31st our blog had apparently “left the building.” Turns out that the hosting service at one end had made changes the other one didn’t know about. Result: Instant Disconnect.
When things like this go wrong and there are a few different players involved (website host, blog host, domain registrar), it becomes a time-consuming nightmare to try and troubleshoot. And that’s how we spent our last three days, on hold with one service provider or another, and angry with others who wouldn’t allow phone access. Open a job ticket and they’ll get back to you in 24 hours. Nice and helpful.
As you can tell by reading this, the problems have been corrected and we’re back to posting on the blog again. It is our sincere hope that none of us will have to relive this experience again.
