		<description>HI Emily,
Lemon sauce is a delicious way to enhance ginger bread and here is the recipe (an old one from the Joy Of Cooking!)
Combine and stir in a double boiler over hot water until thickened:
1/4 to 1/2 cup sugar
1 TBLS. cornstarch
1 cup water
Remove sauce from heat and stir in:
2 to 3 TBLS butter
1/2 tsp. grated lemon or orange rind
1 1/2 TBLS lemon juice
1/8 tsp salt
Serve warm over the gingerbread!

<description>Hello! My dad is from Maine and he loves molasses cookies. I&#039;m not sure these are the same, but they sound tasty! I do have a question - what is lemon sauce exactly?
