Spurned: Food Once Loved but Loved No More…

Jim Bazin: This is a tough one for me, and I’m coming up blank. I will say, however, that I never did like nor will never even try to like brussel sprouts.

Sean Chung: Combos. I remember when they first came out and
how excited I was – pretzels and cheese? No way! (I was in elementary
school). I used to save up my allowance every week to buy them. I had a
special method for eating half the pretzel shell first so that the
cheese filling was in tact. It was great while it lasted before another
food fad, no doubt, hooked me.

Katherine Emory: Steak Tartare. Knowing that mad cow disease is out there? Not a chance!

Melanie Hyatt: I wish I still loved scallops. I overate ones
that were very undercooked once, got food poisoning, and ended up in
the hospital for a week. Seriously, I know they taste good, but can’t
get past the memory.

Melissa Leiter: Well, I still love most of the same foods,
but when I was a kid I loved meatloaf. I wanted it every night for
dinner. While I still enjoy it, I don’t desire it all the time.

Merrill Williams: Jello.
