The Midcoast Food & Wine Festival will be held this Saturday, September 13th, from 10-5 in Rockport. Sponsored by The State of Maine Cheese and Cellardoor Vineyard, it will feature food samplings and wine tastings at several convenient Route 1 locations. Twenty vendors from across the state will be participating in the festivities (including Maine Food & Lifestyle). Sweet and savory foods as well as Cellardoor Vineyard wines will be sampled both inside Cellardoor Villa as well as outdoors in a large tent across the street on West Street. Additional food samples and Maine wines will be offered at The State of Maine Cheese location. Cellardoor Vineyard co-owner Bettina Doulton is an enthusiastic supporter of Maine’s creative food and wine producers, "We think there are wonderful things happening on the food scene in Maine and anything we can do to showcase Maine businesses is good."
