Maine Events Calendar: September

Fall officially begins on September 22. Help to herald it in by attending one or more of the following fairs and festivals going on this month.

Sept. 18-21: Unity, MOFGA-Common Ground Fair ,
35 acres of healthy and organic foods, livestock, exhibit hall, craft
tent, folk arts, Maine crafts, spinner’s area, rabbit barn, blacksmith
shop, plants, farm tools and crafts, herb and display gardens, heirloom
apple orchard, energy and shelter amphitheater, entertainment stages,
and over an hundred demos.

Sept. 20: Bethel, 11th Harvest Festival and Chowdah Cook-Off

Sept. 21-27: Cumberland, Cumberland Farmers’ Club Fair.
Exhibit halls, midway, circus, livestock, animal-pulling, racing,
demolition derby, United Maine Craftsmen Tent with over 25 Maine
artisans selling handmade items.

Sept. 27: Eliot, Eliot Festival Day 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Sept. 27: Livermore Falls, Apple Pumpkin Festival

Sept. 27: Fur ‘n Foliage Walk, benefits Knox County Humane Society, Thomaston Academy Building 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Sept. 28: Pemaquid Oyster Festival, Damariscotta 

Sept. 28: Wells, Punkinfiddle, A National Estuaries Day Celebration , 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at Laudholm Farm.

Sept. 28-October 5: Fryeburg , 158th Annual Fryeburg Fair (Maine’s Largest Fair)
including exhibit halls, pig and calf scrambles, tractor pulls, live
entertainment, midway, harness racing, parade, crafts, and lots more.
